Apple Pie Biscuits

Ingredients
  

Biscuits

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough

Apple Filling

  • 2 medium apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, and vanilla extract. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until apples are soft and caramelized.
  • Flatten each biscuit slightly and place about 1 tablespoon of apple filling in the center.
  • Fold the edges of the biscuit around the filling, pinching to seal. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • While biscuits bake, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  • Drizzle warm biscuits with glaze and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a handful of chopped pecans or a drizzle of caramel sauce over the biscuits before serving.
